Stars

 

I hear myself say,

stop blocking

your own 

happiness gateway.

Stop hiding the man

you are meant to be.

Don't let your light fail,

like strobing star trails.

Let it illuminate

the shining sea.

Set sail.

Don't fear the dragons

with fiery tails.

Face off with the future,

your own destiny.

You survived the worst,

Don't let the bubble burst.

Don't let your fear

stop you from

taking on those waves.

Let them sow,

in you,

a beauty

that should be saved.

 

And as the words climb

from my chest up my throat,

I open my mouth

and my voice sets fire,

to the air.

Stokes the embers

and watches them fall.

I let them show me

my way forward.

Lighting

the way like glittering

star fall

on an open road.

 

I hear them saying

to stop standing

at the back,

in the shadows,

down the cracks.

Stop setting

sights so low,

that the fires of hell

would overflow them.

Let yourself shine,

lights full glow,

when it's time.

Don't let pain dim

what's inside.

Let it instead

take you on a ride,

finding the strength

to make stars collide.
