Cannot load page,
been down for an age.
Watching that circle spin
endlessly
around and around again,
like a washing machine gone awry.
I think my circuits have fried.
The blinking lights on the router,
telling lies,
I just want to use my computer,
but the internet just hides.
Is this too much to ask?
Too complex a task?
My brain is bored
and I need to open tabs
to get a fix for this addiction.
Oh no, the signals dropped,
Has the outside world also stopped?
How will I see
what people are doing
with their lives,
how many likes
must their dinner plates
have been deprived?
Cannot load page.
Is this how it all ends?
Maybe the bombs have gone off
and we just haven't
received the news,
the mushroom cloud
in the distance,
offering us no clues.
How quickly we reached
a point in time,
where if those lights flash wrong
it all feels like the end of the line.
Nothing is working.
because the Wi-Fi is shirking
it's responsibility
So now the world
is closed off, nothing here to see,
just boarded up windows,
for sale sign on the lawn.
No one can hear our cries
No one to speak to.
Now it's just us here,
the smart generation.
Not looking so smart now,
I say as I stifle a yawn.
