I feel the moonlight
touch my face.
Surface tingles,
goosebumps raised.
Neck hair standing on end,
saluting the haloed queen.
Her light touch so feint
feels like the gentle touch
of a soft wind. I welcome
her wispy embrace.
Her touch may be light,
delicate, delicious in the
veiled night
like a blown kiss
I feel her
letting me know
that she holds me close.
She sees my wide eyes,
looking in delight
upon her beautiful sky.
I fear not the darkness
that clings to the world's skin.
She gives everything
her celestial sheen,
makes exquisite dancing,
shadow puppets play,
in her
otherworldly
light display.
I want to swim
in deep waters,
feeling free, alive.
Taking deep dives under the waves
and feel the currents taking me
away from shoreline sands.
I want to become one with the tides.
with her sublime light the only guide.
Her beauty leaves me wide eyed.
Her soul fills me with hope,
right to the brim, and I know
she will never let me drown
in these waters when I swim.
