Embers set
ablaze dried up
kindling thoughts.
Fan the fire add
fuel to the flames.
Stand at your altar
and preach.
I'll take my pew.
See the skin bubbling,
It's what you want to do.
Torture me. Brand me.
I'll sit whist the lava spews.
Conflagration.
Come, join the congregation
in celebration.
Worship the flames
they burn me in,
as they combust around
warping skin.
Smash the temple,
crush the idols.
No pedestal, but
A pyre of lies
they place me on.
Watch as the flames rise,
licking my eyes.
In this sea of flames,
inferno of hate, I'll bide my time.
Feeling the sparks.
Stinging heat pain.
You can sear my skin
until I am crying,
boiling tears like rain,
but you can't take my smile.
Never again.
Rouse the flames,
watch them intensify.
Spurred on I'll spread the embers,
cause a secondary conflagration,
I'll glow and flare,
I'll spread
my wings and fly.
Higher than
the other creatures in the sky.
I'll burn like the sun
for all to see,
even the pheonix will
hide their eyes from me.
