In the arms of forever

 

In your arms.

That's where I

wish to be.

Feeling the warmth

spread over me

longingly.

Feel my body

meld into you.

As we merge

and sway

to the rhythm

of our own sea.

I wish to hold on

as the day

bleeds away,

and night

walks our way.

 

I wish to feel skin,

soft against me.

Hot to touch,

I want to lose

myself in you.

As kleptomaniac fingers

dance over your body,

trying to steal a memory

to store in my box of dreams.

Sealed in ribboned heart strings

I want to feel 

like flying.

Gravity defying

as we seek love 

in our uniting galaxy.

 

In the arms

of forever,

I wish

to get lost within,

a forest of love.

I want to wander

through the lush foliage

and flourish

with the nourishment

of soft words raining,

sweet nothings.

In a desert universe

I'd open my veins

and give all the blood

that remains

to sate your thirst.
