Lead me
to your altar
of blood.
I want to drink
from the fountain.
Let the warm liquid flood
down tight throat.
I want to bathe
in the red glow
of your heart
as it drowns me
beneath the flow.
Lead me
to the cathedral of blood.
I want to see its beauty,
towering over me, around me.
I want to hear
the echoes of ancient words
reverberate through my bones.
I want the choir to sing,
A hymn that could shatter stones.
Let me rest amongst the pews,
as the view
causes me to stagger.
Let me feel the blood
coursing through
like the world
has been pierced
by a flaming dagger
Lead me
to your temple
of love.
I want to worship.
Down on my knees,
read me scriptures,
written in your hand,
tell me tales of golden sands.
Show me the
way to your
holy seas.
I want to bathe in the water
like it is only for me.
