Moonlight gown

She wears the sun,

bright and vibrant.

She wears the moon

like sequins

or diamonds.

She wears her heart,

always in abundance,

a flowing dress of love

for all in attendance.

She wears her scars,

hidden from view.

She wears her tears

hidden from you.

She covers them up,

with the light of the sun.

She conceals them

within her moon costume.

She wears the sun

In her hair.

The moon in her smile,

painted and plastered there.

The sun in her eyes,

lies and hides

the tears inside.

She wears

her moonlight gown

proud,

where really it's

a crescent pointing down.
