Years pass
but your face
never fades
and when I look
deep
into the reflective
lake
of the mirror,
I shake
as etched
it stays
engraved
deep within
the brain.
sketching itself
onto my own
expession of pain,
drawing onto
every mannerism
I make
The smile
developed
at the corners
of your mouth,
came to life,
manifested
into sight,
on the corners
of mine
like
the care with
which you looked
through your eyes,
and the words you used.
So wise.
You would guide.
Advise
and sit back, watching
as we stumbled on
with our lives
and I hope
I can carry that light
for years to pass.
