A mother is for life
not just Christmas,
and whilst there are times
when they give you strife,
or make you want to scream
when they can't work out the TV remote
for the 19th time (this hour)
Without a mother you would be
just a stain on the
underwear of the universe.
Nothing. Nowhere.
A mother is
a full-time responsibility.
Making sure they know
how to use the computer
without starting World War 3.
It's a battle constantly,
to make them see that
some people are not
who they seem.
But I'd rather be repeating these same refrains,
than to be alone, with just empty dreams.
A mother always knows best.
Except for that 99% of the time
when they are
quizzing you on how to fix the pesky
computer, when the power
isn't even on.
When they want you
to just take a look at their phone,
because somethings gone wrong.
Like you don't just write
words on a page,
but are instead
some kind of technical sage.
