A blanket peace

I let the stillness

fall over me,

a blanket peace,

coating

the noise I've

been hearing.

A moment of tranquillity.

in the rumble of fear

I feel nearing.

An instance of hope

in the downward

dragging existence

I'm reliving.

I listen to the grass

reaching out

into the warm breeze.

As if it can

touch the delicate

breath as it

leaves

moistened lips

and lightly teases

to please.

I see the shimmer

of summer sunlight

reflecting

in shivering leaves.

I hear the tree bark

creak

like aching joints

resting into place.

I see the clouds

slow their pace.

I feel light.

flowing

through the air,

gently brushing,

sharing its loving

warmth everywhere.

Calming air forms

around me,

like a long soak

in a deep warm

bubble bath,

I feel I'm afloat.

Fragrances rising

like the relieving motion

of an ocean bound boat.

The fluid serenity

of nature's

undying love.
