A universe for two

 

 

I want to feel

wanted.

The way I want you.

Feeling those four walls become

a universe for two.

Desired.

As your voice glides

like an angel ascending,

gaining wings

to flutter my name into the air,

to join the other words that you sing.

Burning flames

that can never

atain enough fuel.

A candle wick fire

dancing flickering, flattering.

as we jitteringly start to undress

this flirtatious attire we bring.

 

I want to be

the first person every day

to hear you speak.

The first audience

that hears you roar.

I want to soar

in your cloudburst glow

I want your

breathless words to flow,

and feel them rain down upon me.

I want your heart to pour.

I want your soul

to dazzle me like snow.

 

I desire those nervous laughs

as we fumble in the dark,

our playful bumbling hearts.

stumbling over the new lands we embark.

Laughing from within

hot and bursting free

with passion and lust,

Endorphins, serotonin,

dopamine crashing our systems.

I want to give in to every moment

and just feel our love drugs coursing.

The blood surging, the urge to kiss,

to take your lips for oxygen.

To feel your sweet embrace as we

talk softly through nervous energy.

 

I desire that moment of joy

that comes from knowing

that the honeysweet thoughts that blow

rushing through your head

are now overflowing.

No longer just crazed thoughts.

but a pile of clothes on the floor,

as we let each other explore.

Delighting in making

worlds turn, making gasps emerge.

giving everything.

to show we care.

Sharing all of yourself

to make someone else feel good,

It’s better than breathing air.

 

But what I desire.

Truly desire. Above all of this,

over every moment of bliss.

Every tender loving kiss,

every stolen glance

and every nighttime dance.

What I truly desire

is a chance to hear you speak.

To listen to you, to feel you,

to become a bit part of a story

that is yours and unique,

as I pray at the altar of your feet.

That is what I desire.

This godess is what I seek.
