From the moment
your past life ended,
until the time your
next life begins
you are stuck in this
prison cell called now.
Serving time, although time
never serves you,
only forever
staying in
now's eternally
barred room.
Yesterday always
flits away.
Sitting near
a vast canyon
of other
faded yesterdays.
Just memories,
that never existed.
Whispers of
twisted images
that only ever sift
through the brain.
The now is all
you've ever known.
Yesterday just a storied mist
drifting
in the pouring rain.
Tomorrow always
stays so far away,
and yet so very close,
but you will never once
reach tomorrow. Never breath
tomorrows air, never touch its surface,
it will never even know you are there.
As you just stare at it
through rose tinted windows.
It's always just out of reach,
People preach, about what
they will achieve
when they lay siege
upon tomorrows sandy beaches.
But now is all that ever follows.
So, live in every moment,
and enjoy all its magic features.
