My moonlight queen
and me. We sing
in synchronicity.
Her tantalising being,
takes my breath away,
breathes new air
into lungs that are
weak and frayed.
We share glances
across galaxies.
Her universe of
miraculous elemental light,
keeps me going
on those dark lonely nights.
Stops me feeling alone
when my only company
is the spectre that causes
such fright.
That spectre of fear,
which sits like ice,
cold in veins of doubt.
Drawn hearts,
pull back their bows,
to fire arrows
flaming directly
at my chest.
With a single look,
I'm entranced.
I confess,
I watch the moon
to see her crooning to you.
I contest,
to be by your side
would make me
the happiest
person in existence.
In the ripples
of that spectral universe,
I hear the waves,
as they start to crash
in the spacial distance,
and I know that
this special space
is the right place at last.
Those eyes l see,
look back at me,
eyes I've seen
so many times,
in my most
lucid dreams.
