World of love

 

There is a kiss

located

underneath the sea,

locked in a chest

marked,

"Hold me tight,

let me live."

I wish to breathe

life

deep

into spongy

lungs,

so, they can live

for eternity.

 

There is a hug

held in the sky

for you.

It's there in the form of a tune,

lilting on a sunbeam,

reflecting from the moon.

Jilted heartbeats trill

like a bird

releasing its song.

Poisoned thoughts

become less ill,

when you let the hug

hold you still

and start to embrace

the calm.

 

There is a smile

to seed the clouds

with healing rains,

so, they will pour to soothe

any lasting pain.

To wash away stains

of strained old days.

To make clear the path,

for the sunlight

to shine the way.

 

There is an ear

kept in a mountain,

to listen to your fear.

To let your words

find the answers you seek

to the riddles

that trouble your sleep.

It sits atop the peak,

like a bird of prey

watching over

the lands beneath,

Listening intently

to every breath you breathe.

 

There is a whole world of love,

all waiting for you,

just say those magic words,

speak and the world will find you,

and it will shine a light,

like a lighthouse

in the dark sprawling sea,

so that

the future will seem

less scary, just you and me.
