In that moment forever

 

If I could live in that moment

for eternity

I'd be as happy as can be.

Not thinking of tomorrow.

Yesterday just a memory.

That scintillating second,

that fusion of magic

and chemistry.

Two hearts, cease beating.

Sound drops.

Lips lock

and everything fades

into obscurity.

 

If I could live

in that moment forever

I'd never sever the connection,

I'd delight

in seeing those eyes

locking tightly with mine.

A sight that would make

the silence echo.

I'd notice the way that

the fluid moonlight flow

glows upon every dimple

of your face.

I'd embrace

every miniscule detail.

Ever in grace.

 

If I could live

in that moment perpetually,

I'd never get tired of what I see.

Boredom couldn't ever take over.

I could live

in this moment endlessly,

as sure as I could sit

beside a raging sea

and watch the waves

form continuously.

I could live in this moment

until the end of time,

then I'd rewind the clocks

and start time ticking again.
